What to expect of a Real Estate Agent:
Real estate professional can help you find the best home to meet your needs. They can also help with parts of the mortgage process but their role is different than a mortgage professional’s role.
You’ll want to choose a professional that makes you feel comfortable and can provide knowledge and service you need.
The buyer does not pay the real estate agent unless they have contracted with a “buyer’s agent.” A buyer’s agent is real estate agent who is paid for by the buyer and therefore solely represents the interests of the buyer.
Real estate professionals will provide you with information on property values, taxes, etc. Your real estate professional will save you time by pre-selecting homes based on your specifications, such as style, price range, area and amounts of bedrooms.
Some questions that you may want to ask a real estate professional:
- How long have you been in real estate?
- Are you a full time real estate professional?
- How many homes have you sold in the past year?
- What is the average sales price of the homes you sold last year?
- How many buyers are you presently working with?
- How many sellers are you presently working with?
- Can you provide the names of three homebuyers as references?
